Age Divisions Check-In :

  • 5 - 7 years old Queen 1:00pm
  • 8 - 10 years old Queen 1:00pm
  • 11 - 13 years old 1:00pm

Rules

  • All contestants will be judged in CASUAL WEAR (preferably red and/or green with watermelon theme) and required to answer a question on stage.
  • Please arrive dressed for the pageant. No dressing areas will be available.
  • Pageant will begin promptly at 2pm.
  • All contestants will receive a trophy.
  • The winner in each age division will be expected to ride in the Newberry Watermelon Festival parade on Saturday, May 20th at 9:00am. You will be responsible for your own car and signs with your name, title, and sponsor.
  • Also, winners and runners-up will be introduced at the Festival at 11:00am, and the winners at the Queen’s Pageant on Friday, May 19th 7:30pm.

SPONSOR: A sponsor is one or more person(s) who pays the entry fee. Their name and/or place
of business will be announced as the contestants line up on stage for crowning. 

(Contestants will be introduced by number only during the judging.)

DEADLINE: Application must be postmarked by May 4th . NO EXCEPTIONS!

ADMISSION: Admission is $1.00 at the door and under 5 FREE.
